Overview
The Mathematics Education Study Program is a study program that covers the science of mathematics and its application in the context of education and teaching. Students of the Mathematics Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Parahyangan Catholic University are expected to acquire in-depth knowledge and skills regarding the theoretical, practical, and pedagogical aspects of mathematics. After studying these various aspects, students will develop several abilities, as follows:
- Pedagogical Ability: Applying appropriate and correct educational science to teach mathematics in a fun, interactive, and innovative way at the basic and secondary education levels.
- Mathematical Ability: Using mathematical concepts and methods as the main tools to analyze and explain various mathematical problems.
- Computational Ability: Utilizing technology and software to model and solve mathematical problems.
- Communication Ability: Delivering learning, ideas, and research results effectively, both orally and in writing.
Based on the abilities they possess, students of the Mathematics Education Study Program are expected to be able to contribute in the field of mathematics education as well as in various other fields that require analytical skills and high-level problem-solving.
Academic Focus
The focus areas for teaching, research, and community service in the Mathematics Education Study Program at Parahyangan Catholic University include:
- Mathematics Teaching with the LABIRIN (Fun, Interactive, and Unique Learning) Approach: Organizing mathematics learning that is fun, interactive, and unique through creative approaches to enhance students’ understanding and interest in learning.
- Application of Mathematics in Practical Contexts: Integrating mathematical principles into various practical applications that can be directly and deeply applied in teaching and educational technology.
- Mathematics Olympiad Teacher Education: Preparing mathematics teachers who are competent in designing, solving, and teaching mathematics olympiad problems at both national and international levels.

Objectives
In relation to teaching, students of the Mathematics Education Study Program at FKIP UNPAR are guided to master technology skills, literacy, and critical thinking skills without abandoning the spirituality and fundamental values of UNPAR. Graduates of the Mathematics Education Study Program at FKIP UNPAR will become educators who embody the fundamental values of UNPAR and are able to actualize themselves as educators for the basic and secondary levels.

During the learning process, students of the Mathematics Education Study Program will develop various abilities, as follows:
