Overview
The Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Undergraduate Study Program is a study program that implements LABIRIN (Fun, Interactive, and Unique Learning), under the auspices of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Parahyangan Catholic University.
The PGSD Study Program produces prospective Primary School teachers who are superior in the five teacher competencies, as a primary education level olympiad coach, a primary education researcher, an educational consultant, and an entrepreneur in the field of primary education. This is achieved because they are equipped with good content mastery and pedagogy, and they live out the Spirituality, Basic Values (SINDU), and Ethical Principles of UNPAR. Thus, prospective teacher graduates of the PGSD Study Program can become competent and professional Primary School teachers, teaching with a spirit of loving kindness in truth, upholding humanitarian values, the noble dignity of humanity, and diversity in developing the potential of primary school students holistically and maximally.
Strengths
- Graduates can design Primary School learning with the LABIRIN (Fun, Interactive, and Unique Learning) approach; STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) Primary School learning; development of fun, interactive, and unique learning media; Primary School Olympiads; and English language proficiency at Level B-1.
- Complete learning facilities and a comfortable learning environment.
- Obtaining employment with a short deadline (or, more commonly interpreted as in a short time frame or quickly).
Academic Focus
The focus areas for teaching, research, and community service in the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program at Parahyangan Catholic University include:
- Learning in Primary School subjects with the LABIRIN (Fun, Interactive, and Unique Learning) Approach.
- Primary school educational science, with the application of primary education principles in practical applications that can be directly applied in teaching and primary school educational technology.
- Primary school level Olympiad teacher education, to educate Primary School teachers who are capable of creating, solving, and teaching Olympiad problems at the primary school level.

- To produce superior graduates who:

- are capable of coaching Olympiads at the Primary Education level;
- are ready to serve for the advancement of education in Indonesia.
- To become a center for research and development of fun, interactive, and unique learning at the Primary Education level.
- To become a center for education and Primary Education level Olympiad training.
- To become a study program concerned with improving the quality of Primary Education in Indonesia.
Targets
During the learning process, students of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program will develop various abilities, such as the following:
- edagogical Ability: using the appropriate and correct educational science to teach subjects in primary school with the LABIRIN (Fun, Interactive, and Unique Learning) Approach.
- Mathematical Ability: using the science of mathematics as the main tool to explain Mathematical concepts.
- Computational Ability: utilizing technology and software to model primary school education teaching.
- Communication Ability: delivering learning, ideas, and research results effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Upholding morals and ethics and possessing social sensitivity embodied in the Spirituality and Basic Values of Parahyangan Catholic University (SINDU).
